Her determination to reach those dreams is such that she gives everything to her studies and to learning something new, and although she is a very introverted person, she keeps pushing herself out of her comfort zone so that she can walk towards them.
In 2017, during her first visit to Myanmar in South-East Asia, Juju — co-founder of Servir no Mundo — met Jewêl. Jewêl is the daughter of Pu Sue, founder of Hand to Hand Charity Myanmar, where Juju has been a volunteer and supporter ever since.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the political conflict that has gripped the country since 2021, Myanmar has faced unimaginable challenges — including difficulty meeting the most basic needs for survival.
Jewêl is the first person in her family to finish secondary school, and she recently received the chance to study in Thailand on a partial scholarship: an opportunity that does not exist in Myanmar today.
Juju and Bárbara joined forces and, since June 2023, have been supporting Jewêl in her dream of studying.
Jewêl has been studying in Thailand since early July 2023. To stay there and finish the course she needs our financial support until August 2025: her visa does not allow her to work and the course is full-time. Her family in Myanmar are currently struggling even to buy food, so they are in no position to help with her expenses either.
